Vision of Britain | News: "The Joint Information Systems Committee — a joint committee of the UK further and higher education funding bodies — has awarded the University of Portsmouth £398,700 (about $US 780,000) to support a new project, Historic Boundaries of Britain, to create computerised boundaries for the system of Parliamentary Constituencies from before the First Reform Act (1831/2) up to 1974.
These will then be used within the Vision of Britain web site to allow us to present detailed election results — numbers of votes for each party in each constituency in each election — from the mid-nineteenth century onwards."
